WHISBY NATURE PARK ARTIST'S RESIDENCY, LINCOLN
During two six week residencies I researched the use of the park's natural resources and developed my findings into work for exhibition whilst engaging the public in a series of workshops.
Setting myself boundaries I used only what could be found in the nature park. The Leaf Stakes were made in a beautiful silver birch glade, taking on the form of the mushroom trails that are scattered about the Park.
A few days after the comment, 'what creature would make these'?, referring to the stacks, was made to the Park warden, a new creature emerged from the Whisby undergrowth… The Whisby Mud Man… who evolved into a larger form made in wattle and daub structure.
